Głobica

Głobica [ɡwɔˈbit͡sa] (German: Glabitsch) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stegna, within Nowy Dwór Gdański County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Nowy Dwór Gdański and 31 km (19 mi) east of the regional capital Gdańsk.

Before 1793 the area was part of Polish Royal Prussia, which became part of the German Empire after the Unification of Germany in 1871. Following World War I, the region was part the Free City of Danzig, until it was occupied by Germany at the start of World War II. After the war the region was incorporated into Poland.
