Asakata

Asakata is a village in Barima-Waini region, in the north of Guyana, claimed by Venezuela as part of Delta Amacuro state, which is located in the Guayana Esequiba.

The community began receiving electricity in 2004 when a diesel generator was donated by Mr. Monty Niathally, proprietor of Variety Woods and Greenheart Limited.
