1895 Kentucky Derby

The 1895 Kentucky Derby was the 21st running of the Kentucky Derby. The race took place on May 6, 1895.[1] This is the most recent edition of the Kentucky Derby to be run at a distance of 1 12 miles (2.4 km), as the race was shortened to 1 14 miles (2.0 km) in 1896, which has been maintained since.[2]
