Xavier Castro

Xavier Castro Muñoz (born 1965, Guayaquil, Ecuador) is an Ecuadorean attorney. He earned his degree in Law from the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil in 1990, followed by a master's degree in Law from Cambridge University (Peterhouse) in 1997.

Castro was a Supreme Court of Ecuador councillor until 1999, and Vice-President of the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce two different times. In recent years, he has also received a Chevening Scholarship from the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Castro is also a member of Una Nueva Opción (UNO), a private non-profit organization, which trains future political leaders in Ecuador.
