V (film)

V is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, featuring Nani, Sudheer Babu, Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles and Jagapathi Babu, Vennela Kishore, Nassar and Srinivas Avasarala in supporting roles. The film is scored by S. Thaman with the soundtrack composed by Amit Trivedi while cinematography is handled by P. G. Vinda.[1]

It marks Nani's 25th film, who will be portraying an antagonist for the first time.[3][4][5] It was planned to be released on 25 March 2020 on Ugadi, but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[6][7]

Announcement

The film was announced in April 2019 with Indraganti as director and Nani playing the lead which also marked his 25th film.[8][9]

Filming

The principal photography on the film started in May 2019 without Nani on set. The second schedule started in June 2019 with Sudheer Babu and other artistes.[10][11] Nani started shooting for the film on 11 August 2019.[12] In September 2019, filming location changed to Thailand where major scenes were shot with Sudheer Babu and Nani.[13]

This film's soundtrack is composed by Amit Trivedi. The background score for the film is composed by S. Thaman.

Release

Initially the film was scheduled to release on 25 March 2020 coinciding with Telugu New Year,[14][15] but due to the COVID-19 pandemic it has been postponed.[16]
