Typhoon Malakas

The name Malakas (Tagalog: [mɐlɐˈkas], mah-lə-KAHS) has been used for three tropical cyclones in the western north Pacific Ocean. The name was contributed by the Philippines and is a Filipino word meaning 'strong' or 'powerful'.
