Tvorchi

Tvorchi (stylized as TVORCHI) is a Ukrainian electronic music band from Ternopil formed in 2018 by sound producer Andrew Hutsuliak and vocalist Jeffery Augustus Kenny. They have two studio albums: The parts (2018) and Disco lights (2019). The band performs songs in Ukrainian and English.

History

Andrew Hutsuliak and Jeffery Kenny get acquainted on the street accidentally when Andriy approached Jeffrey on the street to check his level of English and to talk with him.[1] The acquaintance grew into a collaboration where the Ukrainian became a music producer and the Nigerian a songwriter and vocalist. Both studied at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Ternopil National Medical University.[2][3][4]

On May 30, 2017, the world saw the band's first single, "Slow". On September 4, the second single "You" was released.

On February 2, 2018, the band released their debut album, dubbed The Parts. On September 20, 2018, the band released a video for the song "Youth'" (Ukrainian: Молодість, romanized: Molodist).[5]

On February 14, 2019, the second album named Disco Lights was released.[6] On February 21, the band released a video for the song "Believe".[7] According to the guys, the shooting budget was $100.[8] Within a few days, the video garnered 400,000 views on YouTube, and the song ranked 9th in Google Play charts in Ukraine.

In the summer of that year, the band performed at music festivals Faine Misto (Ternopil), Atlas Weekend (Kyiv) and Ukrainian Song Project (Lviv).[9][10] On September 9, the band released the single "#не танцюю" and on September 16, a music video for it.

In February 2020, Tvorchi presented a "Bonfire" song on environmental issues and took part in the National Selection to Eurovision 2020 and made it to the finals.[11][12]
