He was born in Studenci. He was appointed the Military Ordinary of the Bosnia and Herzegovina, by Pope Benedict XVI on 1 February 2011. He was ordained a bishop on April 2011. On 22 January 2020 pope Francis appointed him coadjutor archbishop of the archdiocese of Vrhbosna transferring him from the office of military ordinary for Bosnia and Herzegovina.[1]
