Thiruvananthapuram–Silchar Superfast Express

The 12507 / 08 / 15 / 16 Thiruvananthapuram Central - Silchar Express is a Superfast express train belonging to Indian Railways - Northeast Frontier Railway zone that runs between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Silchar in India. It holds the record of being the most delayed train on the Indian Railways network, being delayed by an average of 10 – 12 hours and also holds the record of 28th longest train service in the World. Initially it ran between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Guwahati. From 21 November 2017, it has been extended to Silchar.[3] After this extension, it is now the longest running superfast train and the second longest running train in India.

A Howrah based WDM 3A hauls the train from Silchar up to Howrah Junction handing over to a Howrah based WAP 4 which powers the train up to Visakhapatnam following which Erode or Arakkonam based WAP 4 takes over until Thiruvananthapuram Central.
