The March of Fools

The March of Fools (Korean: 바보들의 행진; RR: Babodeuli haengjin) is a 1975 South Korean comedy film directed by Ha Gil-jong. Adapted from Choi In ho's novel of the same name, it was a box-office hit that created a sensation in Korean society among critics and the public and also helped cemented Ha's legendary status among the leading directors. In a 2013 KOFA poll of the top 100 Korean films, it was placed as one of the best Korean films of all time in a three-way tie for the first place with Yu Hyun-mok's The Aimless Bullet (1961) and Kim Ki-young's The Housemaid (1960).[1]

Plot

Philosophy university students, Byeong-tae and Yeong-cheol, make friends with French Literature female students, Yeong-ja and Sun-ja, from a nearby university. They often hang out, sharing their troubles and drinking together. They talk about their dreams for the future but the future is bleak.[2][3][4][5][6]
