Teresa Hord Owens

Teresa (Terri) Hord Owens is an American Christian minister.[1]

Biography

Owens is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Chicago Divinity School. In July 2017, Owens was elected General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada.[2] She is the first woman of color to lead a mainline Christian denomination in North America, and the second woman to lead the Disciples of Christ.[1][3]
