Life

In his youth, he studied in several parochial schools and then three years at the Universidad Laboral de Gijón, after which he studied Hispanic philology at the University of Oviedo.[1]

Los Berrones

In 1989, he made his debut on the Asturian music scene, as a member of the band Los Berrones, with a single that contained only two songs: Nun yes tú (in Asturian: It's Not You) and Tais de yogurt (in Asturian: You're As Good As Yogurt). The album was a success in the Asturian music scene, reaching a sell out of 2000 copies the first week it reached the stores.

In 2005 he left the band to devote himself to other projects.

Hestories piquiñines

In 1998, Tante Blanco made his debut as a writer publishing Hestories piquiñines (in Asturian: Little Stories).[1] Between 2000 and 2004 he tried to carry out an audiovisual project in the format of a cartoon series for television together with ANIMASTUR, as he tells in the book, but the lack of funds and economic means made it imposible to carry out the project.

On TPA

With the establishment of the regional television of Asturias, the TPA, Blanco started doing monologues in Asturian for the program Al Aldu: La Risión, in which he also was a scriptwriter.[2]

Solo career

In 2009, after several years working on various projects, he resumed his musical career, now as a soloist. Under the name Stroza he published his first work, entitled «Música de garrafón» (Adulterated Music), with lyrics both in Asturian and Spanish.[1][2] Also noteworthy is the composition of the Himno del centenario (Centenary Anthem) for the Laviana football club, Real Titánico,[3] as well as another anthem for the Laviana football school ALCAVA.
