Steve Ward (boxer)
Steve Ward (born c. 1956) is a British professional boxer, notable for being the oldest professional boxer in the world.[1] He was confirmed as such in 2011[2] at age 54. He lost the distinction in 2015, when an older fighter competed in a professional bout, but regained it later that year when he fought professionally at 59. His original boxing career lasted from 1977 to 1987. He made a comeback in 2010 and finally retired in 2017 after losing the WBC veteran heavyweight championship title to Andreas Sidon.[3][4]
