Solomon Yue
Solomon Yue, Jr. (Chinese: 俞懷松, born May 7, 1959) is a Chinese American politician and entrepreneur. He is vice chairman and CEO of Republicans Overseas and the national committeeman of the Republican Party of Oregon. Yue has been active within the Republican Party since the 1990s and he is now one of the top 20 ranking seniority members of the 168-member Republican National Committee.[4]

Emigrating to US
Born in Shanghai, China,[5] Yue lived through and escaped China's Cultural Revolution, emigrating to United States as an international student under the assistance of a senior classmate of his grandfather in Alaska Pacific University, then as a successful importer and wholesaler.[6]
Career path
Between 1987 and 1990, Yue was an international trade economist for the Alaska World Trade Corporation in Anchorage, Alaska. In 2011, he became president of the Terre Haute, Indiana-based Grassfire Strategic Planning and Management Group LLC. The group manages USA Super PAC, the Republican Super PAC, and the Grassroots Conservative Coalition.
Yue serves as the president of U.S. Global Enterprising Corporation, which is based in Salem, Oregon.[7]
Political path
In 1996, Yue was a member of Bob Dole's presidential campaign's Asian-American Steering Committee. Yue has led several political resolutions within the Republican National Committee (RNC) including Obamacare. In 2014, he headed up a resolution to repeal the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act and his resolution passed with the RNC.
Between 1997 and 2002, Yue was chairman and vice chairman of the Polk County Republican Party in Oregon. In 2000, he was elected national committeeman for the Republican Party of Oregon. In 2013, Yue founded and has served as both CEO and vice chair of the Republicans Overseas.
In 2001 and 2004, Yue served as a member of the RNC's Delegations to Taiwan and organized the 2011 delegation to Taiwan for the country's National Centennial Celebration.
Yue began attending Republican National Conventions in 1996 and has attended the 2000, 2004, and 2008 conventions. He has served on the 2004 national convention's Site-Selection Committee and Committee on Arrangements. He has also been the vice chairman of the Committee on Presidential Debates and been a member of the convention's Standing Committee on Rules since 2013. He was also the co-founder of the RNC Conservative Steering Committee.[7]
