Solendovirus

Solendovirus is a genus of viruses, in the family Caulimoviridae order Ortervirales. Plants serve as natural hosts. There are currently only two species in this genus, including the type species Tobacco vein clearing virus. Diseases associated with this genus include: TVCV: vein-clearing symptoms in N. edwardsonii.[1][2]

Structure

Viruses in Solendovirus are non-enveloped, with icosahedral geometries, and T=7 symmetry. The diameter is around 50 nm. Genomes are circular and non-segmented, around 7.7kb in length. The genome has 3 open reading frames.[1]

Life cycle

Viral replication is nuclear/cytoplasmic. Replication follows the dsDNA(RT) replication model. Dsdna(rt) transcription is the method of transcription. The virus exits the host cell by nuclear pore export, and tubule-guided viral movement. Plants serve as the natural host. Transmission routes are seed borne.[1]

gollark: For another thing, as I found out while reading a complaint by mathematicians about the use of Riemann integrals over gauge integrals, if you always take the point to "sample" as the left/right/center of each partition *and* the thing is evenly divided up into partitions, it's actually wrong in some circumstances.
gollark: For one thing, the sum operator is very bee there because it does not appear to be counting integers.
gollark: It's wrong and abuse-of-notationy however.
gollark: And this isn't even *used anywhere* except that one or two of the integration questions use this as an extra layer of indirection.
