Shree (2002 film)

Shree is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Pushpavasagan which stars Suriya in the title role, with Shrutika and Gayatri Jayaraman in supporting roles.[1] The film was dubbed in Telugu and released as Surya Putrudu.[2]

Plot

Shree (Suriya) is a rowdy, longing for his father's Sankara Iyer (Vijayakumar's) love. He has been ostracized from his family because his father felt he had a hand in the death of his younger sister, and for refusing to stay silent about it. He is still in love with Meenakshi (Shrutika) from his old 'Agraharam' and she in love with him, but their union is derided by Sankara Iyer.
