Shakib Khan's unrealized projects

The following is a list of unproduced Shakib Khan projects in roughly chronological order. During his long career, Bangladeshi film actor Shakib Khan acted numerous film, which never progressed to release, including his unfinished films, canceled, contracted or even if he is supposed to act, but not acted in later. However, without any official announcement, only the news published in the newspapers will not get a place here.

2012

Juge Juge Ami Tomari

2013

Kanamachhi

In 2013, Shakib Khan was supposed to act in Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz's third film Kanamachhi. Chanchal Chowdhury was also supposed to act with him in the film. Bidya Sinha Saha Mim was also signed contract with him in the film.[1] Director Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz said that, discussions with Shakib Khan and Chanchal Chowdhury about starring in the film have already been finalized. Now the process of finalizing the heroine is going on. The shooting of the film was supposed to start on September 20, 2013. But in the end filming did not begin.[2][3]

Prem Kore Morbo Ami

On December 23, 2013, Shakib Khan and Nusrat Imroz Tisha signed contract to act in a film titled Prem Kore Morbo Ami directed by Shafi Uddin Shafi. The details of the film were to be announced at a Muharat ceremony in January, 2014 and it was also announced at that time that the shooting of the film would start from February. The work of the film has not begun due to various complications.[4][5][6]

Raja Handsome

In November 2013, Shakib Khan was contracted to play the titular role in a film titled Raja Handsome directed by Badiul Alam Khokon. Where Apu Biswas was contracted to act opposite him.[7] Ahmed Sharif and Misha Sawdagor were to play the roles of villains and Fuad Al Muqtadir was to compose the music.[8] According to the film director and production company Bioscopewala, the film work will start by the end of March 2014. Eventually the production of the film did not start.[9][10]

2014

My Darling

On September 1, 2013, Shakib Khan and Apu Biswas signed a contract for the film My Darling. The film produced Moniruzzaman under banner the of Dragon Entertainment. The principal photography of the film began on January 1, 2014 under direction of Montazur Rahman Akbar. At the beginning of 2015, 70 percent work of the film was completed. Later, the work of this film stopped due to the complexity of the schedule of the lead actors. Then in March 2018, producer Moniruzzaman sent a charge sheet against them to the Producers Association. But the film has not been released yet.[11][12][13]

Love 2014

The production of Love 2014 begun on 2014. The film was produced by Meghmala Kothachitra and directed by G Sarkar, starring Apu Biswas, Nipun and Tania opposite Khan. About 50 percent of the work of the film has been completed, but for various reasons, the film has not been released yet.[14][15]

Shopner Bidesh

Shopner Bidesh was the last and the final project starring Shakib Khan–Shabnur duo. The film was produced by Moharani Production and directed by Nazrul Islam Khan. Although the film was in its final stages, but it could not possible to released due to lack of interest from London expatriate producer.[16][17]

Salam Malaysia

In 2014, Khan was supposed to star in Montazur Rahman Akbar's project Salam Malaysia, starring opposite most of his co-star and former wife Apu Biswas. Although the film work was supposed to start in August 2014, but the production has not started yet.[18][19][20]

2017

Mamla Hamla Jhamela

In 2017, Shakib Khan was supposed to star in the film titled Mamla Hamla Jhamela. On July 24 of the same year, Bidya Sinha Saha Mim was contracted to star in the film opposite Khan.[21] According to media reports that, Indian actress Sunny Leone will dance with Khan in an item song of the film.[22] Mamla Hamla Jhamela was supposed to produced by Selim Khan and directed by Uttam Akash. Omar Sunny and Moushumi were supposed to star in the film. But the film did not began in the end.[23][24][25]

Operation Agneepath

The principal photography of Operation Agneepath officially begun on September 16, 2016 in Sydney, Australia, starring Shiba Ali Khan and Shuchona Azad opposite Khan. It was supposed to be released on December 23, 2017. Although about 60 percent of the work has been completed, the rest of the work on the film is still pending.[26][27][28]

2019

Naimar Rong

Shakib Khan was supposed to play a guest role in the US-Bangladesh co-production film Naimar Rang (formerly known as Rickshaw Girl) based on novel Rickshaw Girl by an Indian-American author Mitali Parkinson.[29][30] Where Novera Rahman has played in the title role. The film is directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury and co-produced by Eric J. Adams with him.[31] Later, the film director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury chose Siam Ahmed instead of Shakib Khan as he could not give time.[32][33][34][35]
