Sevenmile Creek (Ohio)
Sevenmile Creek is a stream in Preble County and Butler County, Ohio, in the United States.[1] Sevenmile Creek is a tributary of Four Mile Creek. Beasley Run is a tributary of the creek.
Sevenmile Creek was named for its distance, seven miles (11 km), from Fort Hamilton.[2] Sevenmile Creek experienced major flooding during the Great Dayton Flood of 1913.[3]
It is spanned by the Roberts Covered Bridge and other bridges.
Location
- Mouth: Confluence with Four Mile Creek north of Hamilton at 39°27′50″N 84°33′20″W[1]
- Origin: Preble County east of New Paris at 39°51′30″N 84°43′50″W[4]
Discharge
At Sevenmile, the creek's mean annual discharge is 160 cubic feet per second (4.5 cubic metres per second).[5]
