Saud Anwar

M. Saud Anwar is a Pakistani–American doctor and politician, who is a State Senator in the Connecticut State Senate, representing the 3rd District, a seat he has held since 2019.[1] He is also deputy president pro-tempore of the Senate. A member of the Democratic Party, Anwar previously was the mayor of South Windsor, Connecticut.[2] A pulmonary physician by profession,[3] he is a graduate of Yale University and Aga Khan University. He has two children.
