Sandro Marcos

Sandro Marcos González[lower-alpha 1] (born August 13, 1973 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa), known as Sandro Marcos, is a Mexican professional boxer in the Welterweight division.[1]

Pro career

In July 2000, Marcos lost to Roberto Garcia, Garcia would go on to be the IBF Super Featherweight Champion. It was an undercard bout of a WBC Light Welterweight Championship fight between Julio César Chávez and Kostya Tszyu.[2]

Biggest victory

His biggest win was over hall of famer Johnny Tapia in Chicago, Illinois. This bout was the main event of a TeleFutura card.[3]

On September 12, 2009 Sandro lost to the Mexican American Brandon Rios in Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.[4]

Legacy

González has fought many great fighters like Johnny Tapia, Roberto Garcia, Brandon Rios, Jose Luis Castillo, Jorge Paez, Carlos Hernández, Robert Guerrero, and Kevin Kelley.[5]
