Rza Talibov

Rza Talibov (Azerbaijani: Rza Vasif oğlu Talıbov; born 10 May 1982) is an Azerbaijani retired colonel of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Chief of the Citizenship Issues Head Department of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, III rank State Migration Service Counselor, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science, Associate professor at the BSU, honorary doctor of Batumi State University.[1][2]

Life and activity

Talibov Rza Vasif oglu was born on May 10, 1982 in the city of Nakhchivan, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

In 1999, he graduated from Nakhchivan City Russian Secondary School № 3. He graduated from Baku State University with honours, the Faculty of International Law and International Relations, Specialty of International Relations with a bachelor's degree in 2003 and with a master’s degree in 2006.[3].

He enrolled military service in 2003-2004.

In 2007, he started working as a referent in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Defending his dissertation in the field of education.

in 2009, he was awarded the PHD degree in Political Science by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In 2010, leaving the job at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on his own initiative, he began working as a lecturer at the Department of International Relations of Baku State University.[3]

In 2013, he graduated from the University of Oxford, UK, SAID Business School's Advanced Management Program.

In 2014, he achieved a master's degree from Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom.

In 2015, he received the title of associate professor. He started working at State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Republic from 2015, now he is the Chief of Citizenship Issues Head Department.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 16, 2018, he has been awarded high special rank of III rank State Migration Service Counselor.[1]

He's a retired colonel.

Family

Married, has three children.

Scientific activity

Author of many articles and several books. By the order No. 459 of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated April 24, 2015, his book named “Asian countries in the system of international relations” was approved as a textbook for universities.[4]

  • Awarded the Jubilee Medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan "100th Anniversary of the Police of Azerbaijan (1918-2018)" by the order No. Ə.035 of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated June 06, 2018.
  • On behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, by the order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 0228 t, dated July 16, 2018, he was awarded “The Jubilee Medal of the 100th Anniversary of the Azerbaijani Army (1918-2018)”.
