Ross Creek (Victoria)

Ross Creek (Victoria), is a rural locality in the Central Highlands near Ballarat in the Australian State of Victorica. The locality is on the Yarrowee River in Victoria.

The Post Code for Ross Creek is 3351.[1]

History

Ross Creek is named after the Ross family. In 1870 Robert Ross, a wealthy landowner, acquired land, erected a jetty and built his homestead Taranganba above the creek.[2] A school was opened 1 August 1871.[3]

Ross Creek has a primary school.
