Rosita Worl

Rosita Kaahani Worl (Tlingit names Yeidiklasókw and Kaaháni; born 1938) is the president of the Sealaska Heritage Institute[1] of the Sealaska Corporation. She has taught at the University of Alaska Anchorage as an anthropologist [2], where she received an honorary degree. [3] She is chair of the NAGPRA review committee.

She also served on the board of directors[4] of Sealaska, a Juneau-based regional Native corporation, for 30 years, beginning in 1987.

Worl has authored papers on subsistence ways of life, Native women’s issues, Indian law and policy and Southeast Alaska Native culture and history.[5]
