Robert Woodman

Robert James Woodman (born 12 October 1986, Taunton, Somerset) is an English cricketer who plays for Gloucestershire. He is a left-handed batsman and left-arm medium-fast bowler. Woodman attended The Castle School Taunton and Richard Huish College, also in Taunton.

He played his 3 first-class matches in 2005 for Somerset and scored 46* on his debut against Worcestershire. He played for England in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka.

He didn't play first team cricket for Somerset in 2006 but played regularly for the 2nd XI and also for Devon.

More recently he has been a leading player for the MCC Young Cricketers XI and was 12th man for the England national side in the first Test against South Africa at Lords on 14 July 2008.

He signed for Gloucestershire in 2008, after impressing in a match for the MCC Young Cricketers XI.

He now is the head of cricket at King’s College, Taunton
