Nebbett's position of choice is at prop. He was an unused replacement as Leicester won the 2001 Heineken Cup Final.[1]

Nebbett was called up to the senior England squad for the 2001 England rugby union tour of North America.[2]

After coaching Esher for a number of seasons it was agreed that he would step down as Director of Rugby, 2 months before the end of the 2018/19 season with Esher teetering on the brink of relegation from National 1.
