Richard Haynes (musician)
Richard Haynes (* 18 April 1983 in Brisbane, Australia) is an Australian clarinettist.
Richard Haynes studied clarinet at Griffith University, Brisbane with Floyd Williams, Brian Catchlove and Diana Tolmie, and at the University of Arts Berne (Hochschule der Künste Bern) with Ernesto Molinari and Donna Wagner-Molinari. Since 2005 Richard Haynes is a member of the Australian ELISION Ensemble. In Europe, Haynes is a member of Ensemble Proton Bern (Bern), Manufaktur für Aktuelle Musik (Berlin) and PRÆSENZ, and has been a guest musician with Collegium Novum Zürich (Zurich), Ensemble Modern (Frankfurt am Main), Ensemble Phoenix Basel (Basel), Ensemble Resonanz (Hamburg), Klangforum Wien (Vienna), Ensemble Musikfabrik (Cologne) and Cikada (Oslo). He is a former member of 175 East (Auckland) and Stroma (Wellington).
