Puvisha Manoharan

Puvisha Manoharan is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi movies. She is also a model and classical Bharatanatyam dancer.

Personal life

Puvisha Manoharan was born in Malaysia to a Tamil parents. Her grandparents are from Thanjavur. From a very young age, she grew up practicing Bharatanatyam and Nattuvangum and completes her Arangetram under the guidance of Guru Krishna Kumari of Krishna Bharatha Kala Alayam - A graduate from Kalakshetra and later she continued her classical dance under the most legendary late guru Padmashri Adyar K. Lakshman. During her school days, she was also very active in sports and had represented state level in athletics. Also, she is a hockey and netball player as well as being active in swimming, badminton, ice skating and basic martial Arts.[1]

Acting career

Before debuting in films, As one of the youngest, she started to teach and dance Bharatanatyam in several countries and while she was living in Pennsylvania, USA, she was also teaching and performing Bharathanatyam. She started her film career debuting in the Tamil film Paradesi, [1] directed by Bala. She appeared with Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan in the film Chennai Express, directed by Rohit Shetty. She later debuted as a heroine in the Kannada film Jil Jil and in the Telugu film Jaganayakudu.[2]
