Pushpa Iyer

Pushpa Iyer is a professor of Conflict Analysis and Resolution and Director of the Center for Conflict Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.[1]

Biography

Dr. Iyer specializes in identifying conflicts, non-state armed groups, civil wars, peace processes, and peace-building in post-war societies.[2] Before coming to the United States for her studies, Dr. Iyer worked to secure the rights of the poor in India through holistic development programs. Her programs focused on bridging the peace divide between Hindu and Muslim communities in the Gujarat state of India.[3]

Education

Dr. Iyer received her Ph.D in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University. She also holds a Master of Business Administration, International Management from the University of East London.[4]
