Pokkunuru

Pokkunuru is a village in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Chandarlapadu mandal of Vijayawada revenue division.[1][2] It is forms a part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region.[3]

"Andhra Pithamaha" Madapati Hanumantha Rao (1885–1970) social reformer of Hyderabad was born in this village.[4]

On 2013 Panchayat elections were conducted and Komati Prabhkarao is the present sarpanch from Telugu Desam Party.
