Nagarro is a subsidiary of the German technology group Allgeier SE (FWB: AEIN).

History

Nagarro was founded in 1996[2].

In 2011, Nagarro was acquired by Allgeier SE, a Germany-based IT company.[2]

In 2014, Softcon, an Allgeier company already a part of the Nagarro division, changed its name to Nagarro and integrated wholly.[3]

In 2014, Hexa Business Services merged with Nagarro in Austria.[4]

In 2016, Conduct AS, an Oslo-based consulting company, merged with Nagarro to become Nagarro in Norway.[5]

In 2016, Nagarro acquired Silicon Valley-based mobile design and strategy company, Mokriya.[6][7]

In 2018, Austria-based test automation company, Anecon joined Nagarro.[8]

In 2019, Nagarro acquired Dubai-based Farabi Technology Middle East LLC and Solutions4Mobility LLC.[9]

Environmental and sustainability initiatives in Gurgaon

Nagarro has a large presence in Gurgaon. It is known for significant support of issues related to environment, road safety, and Sustainable transport. Following is a list of initiatives that Nagarro leads or significantly participates in:

  • Nagarro was a partner in Haryana government led Vision Zero campaign aimed at minimizing road accident deaths.[18][19]
  • Nagarro and World Resources Institute together are helping the Gurgaon city administration pilot integrated road designs prioritizing pedestrian, cycling, and public transport as part of the road design.[20]
  • Nagarro has adopted the use of EVs for employee commute in order to reduce fossil-fuel consumption.[21][22][23]
  • Nagarro has supported the Raahgiri day initiatives in Gurgaon.[24][25][26]
  • Nagarro has supported multiple protests for the right to clean air in the city.[27][28][29][30]
