NJ9842 (in full: NJ 38 98000, 13 42000, yard based Indian Grid Coordinates) is the northernmost demarcated point of the India-Pakistan cease fire line known as the Line of Control.[1]

The line was formally accepted as a cease fire line by the prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi and president of Pakistan, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto as per the Simla Agreement signed on 2 July 1972.[2][3]
