Mukam, Rajasthan
Mukam is a village, and most sacred site of Mukam Mukti Dham temple of Bishnoi Hindu community, located on Bikaner-Jodhpur State Highway 20 about 10 mi (16.09 km) from Nokha and 40 mi (64.37 km) from Bikaner in Bikaner district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.[1][2][3]

Mukam Mukti Dham
Bishnoi sect was founded by Guru Jambeshwar.[2][3] He left his home after his parents death in 1483 and founded the Bishnoi Sampradaya in 1485 at a sandy hill known as Sambharthal, which is now known as Mukam.[2][3] He preached the protection of all living beings.[2][3] Mukam Mukti Dham is a Hindu temple built over his samadhi.[4]
