Mohammad Ali Shomali

Mohammad Ali Shomali is a Twelver Shia Muslim scholar, academic, philosopher and theologian. His religious rank is Hujjat al-Islam. He was born 1965 in Tehran, Iran. He is a graduate of the Qom Seminary. He get a BA (1989-1993) and an MA (1994-1996) in Philosophy from the University of Tehran. He get Doctorate in Philosophy (1997-2001) from the University of Manchester. thesis was on ethical relativism. And postdoctoral research was on ethical issues related to life and death.[1][2][3]

Career

He is the Founding Director of the International Institute for Islamic Studies in Qom, Iran. Head of the Hawza Ilmiyya of England.[4] head of the institute's religious department (Imam Khomeini's Educational and Research Institute). He was the Director of Islamic Centre of England, London. And the editor-in-chief to the Message of Thaqalayn Journal and the Spiritual Quest Journal.[1][2][3]

Shomali is Interested in effective participation through attending or organising interreligious dialogue in UK, in addition to Several countries such as USA, Canada, and several European countries and some of Asian countries.[1][2][3][5]
