Michael Router

Bishop Michael Router, is an Irish Bishop, appointed in 2019 as Auxiliary bishop of Armagh[1] and Titular Bishop of Lugmad. Born in 1965, he lived in Virginia, Co. Cavan. Educated locally in Virginia National School and in Kells C.B.S. he studied for the priesthood in St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, where he graduated with a Bachelor in Divinity Degree and a Higher Diploma in Education.

Fr. Michael worked as priest and taught in St Patrick's College, Cavan. He studied at the Mater Dei Institute of Education, in Dublin and was awarded a Masters in Religious Education.[2] He served as Parish Priest in Baileborough, Co. Cavan.[3]

Bishop Router was St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Armagh on Sunday 21 July 2019.[4] Bishop Gerard Clifford was the previous auxiliary bishop of armagh.
