Mayuri Deshmukh

Mayuri Deshmukh (Marathi: मयुरी देशमुख) is an Indian Marathi actress who has acted in several Marathi television serials as well as movies. Born on 3 September in dhule, Mayuri started her formal career in acting field since year 2011.[2][3]

Personal life

Mayuri Deshmukh was born in Dhule and did her schooling across various places in Maharashtra like Pandharpur, Pune, Nanded, Mumbai, and also Vishakhapatanam for a brief period. She has completed her graduation in BDS ( Bachelor of Dental Sciences) from D Y Patil institute Navi Mumbai and Post Graduation in Theatre Arts from Academy of Theatre Arts, Mumbai University.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10] On 21 January 2016, Deshmukh married Marathi actor Ashutosh Bhakre.[11] He died by suicide on 29 July 2020.[11]

Career

Mayuri Deshmukh has been actively involved in Theatre [12] ( both experimental and commercial) since 2011 with theatre stalwarts like Waman Kendre, Shafaat Khan, Vijay Kenkre, Nadira Babbar, and Ramesh Talwar. Mayuri appeared in 2014 Dr. Prakash Baba Amte – The Real Hero alongside Nana Patekar. She won Best Actress in all ekankika competitions like the prestigious Umbartha and Uttunga across Maharashtra for her notable role of Meera in the one-act play - 'June July' (2015). Mayuri Deshmukh appeared in her first commercial play called Pleasant Surprise [13][14] with Suyog production. (2016). after that She played the lead character Manasi in the popular daily soap  Khulta Kali Khulena aired on Zee Marathi. In a short span of time her character Manasi [15] rose to great popularity.

Her film'31 Divas' [16][17][18][19][20] opposite Shashank Ketkar released on 2018 July 20. Though the film did moderate business the performances of the actors were highly appreciated. 2018 March -  'Dear Aajo',[21][22][23] A play written [24] and enacted by Mayuri Deshmukh opp Sanjay Mone [25] was staged and continues to stage. The play has received rave reviews and has been widely appreciated by the leading media all across Maharashtra.[26] It will soon be adapted in Gujarati and Kannada as well.[27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35]
