Notes

  1. The notation Old Style or (OS) is sometimes used to indicate a date in the Julian Calendar (which is used by churches on the "Old Calendar").
    The notation New Style or (NS), indicates a date in the Revised Julian calendar (which is used by churches on the "New Calendar").
  2. The only evidence for the life of Saint Crescentiana is a church in Rome dedicated to her that was already extant at the time of Pope Symmachus (498-514) (Benedictines).[11]
  3. St Barlaam and his holy icon are venerated in Ukraine by those afflicted with the inclination to drinking; their friends and relatives also invoke his intercession on their behalf.[13]
