Martin Hanlin

Martin Hanlin (born September 1959[1] in Glasgow) is a Scottish musician, manager and radio presenter. He formed and played drums in the Scottish band The Silencers. Hanlin recorded two albums with The Silencers (band) the debut album A Letter From St. Paul and the follow-up A Blues for Buddah.

Hanlin left and went on to become manager to Scottish artists Carol Laula and Murmer before moving to the US and becoming a successful music publisher at Hamstein Records. There he worked with artists including Goudie, Sheryl Crow and ZZ Top.

Hanlin returned to the U.K and set up GMW Entertainment Group, a music publishing company.[1] He also went on to produce albums for Candy Dulfer.

Hanlin worked as a music & management consultant with Simple Minds since 1998, he worked on Neon Lights, Cry, Our Secrets Are The Same, Silver Box, Black & White 050505, Graffiti Soul, Big Music and Walk Between Worlds.

Hanlin now hosts The Real McCoy Radio Show on KXRN-LP every Sunday 12-1pm PST. Interviews with Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile and Mike Peters (musician) of The Alarm can be found on the podcast page of KX935.com website under The Real McCoy Radio Show link.[2]
