Mark Maunder

Mark Maunder is an American entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Defiant Inc. which does business as Wordfence.com. Wordfence is the most popular security plugin for WordPress, downloaded over 70 million times.[1] He is a serial entrepreneur and previously founded Geojoey.com[2] and is the founder and former CEO of WorkZoo.com,[3] one of the first job meta-search engines and voted one of the 50 best websites of 2005 by Time Magazine.[4] Maunder was born in South Africa in 1974 and lives in Redmond, Washington with his wife.

WorkZoo.com was acquired by Seattle-based Jobster[5] in August 2005 for an undisclosed sum and Maunder joined Jobster as Director of Search Technology. Maunder left Jobster in early 2006 and launched a series of websites including Geojoey.com, LineBuzz.com, and Feedjit.com. Defiant Inc (Formerly Feedjit Inc) received funding in January 2008 from Naval Ravikant and other investors.[6] Maunder is currently the CEO of Defiant Inc. which is headquartered in Seattle. Defiant transitioned into cyber security in 2012 with the launch of Wordfence.[7]
