Mabetex Project Engineering (Mabetex group)  is  a  Global engineering and construction company specialized in most areas of civil and industrial planning,  which was founded in 1991 by Mr. Behgjet Pacolli and a group of engineers with experience in the field of planning and sales of civil and industrial construction. Today Mabetex is a global company which has grown up to 18 subsidiaries worldwide. [1] The company is headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland.

Mabetex has a portfolio for work carried out globally on turnkey base, so as the restoration of historical buildings, and the construction and planning of administrative and public buildings, interiors, hospitals, hotels, airports, sports arena, trade centers, residential buildings, theaters and auditorium so as industrial plants and urban projects.

Story

Origins and history

Mabetex was founded in 1991in Lugano (Switzerland) by Behgjet Pacolli, President & CEO of Mabetex Group. Mabetex plays an important role in difficult markets, immediately became an important company specializing in the civil branch.

Mabetex reached early success in its activities and is rewarded with prestigious awards by the institutions for the execution of dozens of constructions and renovations of major works in the various regions of Eastern Europe.

The renovation of the Kremlin, the heart of Russia, which restored the splendor of the years of the Russian Empire, became one of the architectural wonders of the world.

The first important works are the prelude to a rapid expansion of Mabetex in various states, starting with the Republic of Sakha-Yakutia, expanding to Kazakhstan, to Uzbekistan, as well as in several countries in Southeast Asia, Balkans and elsewhere.

As a result, Mabetex become a multinational company and was chosen for the design and construction of government infrastructure of the new capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-sultan (former Astana)

In Nur-sultan , Mabetex is recognized for having built the most prestigious palaces of the city, including the Presidential Palace Akorda, Parliament, various ministries, and also great cultural works, such as the Classical Theatre Opera and Ballet, the multifunctional Leisure Centers, the Olympic Center Shuchinsk, the Velodrome, the Hockey Arena. Beyond that, Mabetex is building the Housing Center “Saranda”.

Mabetex can also be considered a leader in the planning and construction of medical centers as evidenced by the construction of numerous hospitals with different specializations located in several parts of the World. Today, the Mabetex Group is strengthened by expertise gained in projects in each field of civil engineering.

So as in the field of interior design and development of mineral treatment plants and food processing plants. It is also active in the field of environmental protection and the construction of numerous water purification plants.

Mabetex Group celebrates its decades in business  (1,2. 25 Years of history)[2] with the creation of a work of global importance such as the EXPO 2017 in Nur-Sultan. [3]

Presence in the world

Main Projects

Mabetex sent, using its own structure and with the help of its employees, many tons of first aid goods to refugees camps in Albania; helped other institutions in Italy and Switzerland to envoy goods using Mabetex's trucks.[4]
Pacolli's group is known for having renovated the Kremlin in grand scale, lavish in gold leaf and with other extravagant materials.[5]

Kazakhstan

Mabetex is currently working in Kazakhstan, where it played an important role in the construction of the new capital Nur-Sultan[6] (former Astana) and one of the completed award-winning projects was the new Ak Orda Presidential Palace. [7] Located on the left bank of the Ishim River, its architecture combines classical, modern and ethnic influences. The president's residence is part of a complex of modern administrative buildings in the new city center - and its main purpose is to symbolize the new face of Kazakhstan.

Evidence of the Group's capabilities can be seen in the construction of the Presidential Complex of the new capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, where more than 1,000,000 m2 were constructed.[8]

The Group is one of the main players in the Kazakhstan construction sector, having built almost 40% of the buildings in the new city of Nur- Sultan (former Astana)[9] among the most important, the ministry of foreign affairs, the concert and theatre hall, the Opera house, the Saryarka Velotreck (10'000 spectators), ice-hockey stadium, and the Airport Nur-Sultan, hospital mother and child care, diagnostic center, oncology center, hospital and medical building, Arman complex, three towers, + Radisson hotel Astana, Saranda -luxury villas resort, the drama theatre, cardio center in Almaty, olympic centre, ski jumping, skiing, stadium, biathlon, hotels and other facilities - sucinsk.

Switzerland

In Switzerland, the Group, active since 1991, collaborates with the most famous local architects. The first work created is the Kazakh embassy building, located in a residential area of Geneva. The building houses several well-appointed offices and conference rooms. The offices and conference rooms have been furnished with style but with reference to the Kazakh style.

Among other works, the Swiss Diamond Hotel stands out, a luxurious five-star hotel located in Lugano, famous throughout Switzerland and Northern Italy for its exclusivity and the excellence of the services offered, so as other projects like the reconstruction of the 5 star hotel Fluela  in Davos and the new Romantica Residence building complex in Melide-Lugano, currently under construction.

Kosovo and Albania

The Mabetex Group in Kosovo was fully involved in the reconstruction of the Parliament building. The work carried out included the renovation of the interior and the reconstruction of the exterior with glass facades. On February 17, 2008, the historic declaration of independence of Kosovo was signed in a room built by the Group.

In recent years Kosovo and Albania have been experiencing an intense period of construction, in which Mabetex is committed to the forefront also creating new jobs, so as many already completed projects like:

  • Reconstruction of the “Banka Ekonomike”;
  • Reconstruction of the five star hotel “Swiss Diamond Hotel”;
  • The Rilindja Tower, rehabilitation of the new ministerial building;
  • Construction factory of ALU and PVC facades, doors, windows and glass in lebane, and the new pediatric and pediatric surgery hospital OASIS project (currently under construction).

In 2017 the Mabetex Group participated in the annual investor forum in the UAE.

The Mabetex Group is the only company present in this event, representing the Republic of Kosovo, in an event that hosts over 120 countries around the world.

Mabetex presented a number of projects, including a full spectrum presentation of the Divjaka Resort project which is located largely within the Divjakë-Karavasta National Park

Russia

In Russia, Mabetex Group is known for having renovated the Kremlin on a large scale, the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. After the renovation it became one of the architectural wonders of the world. Beyond the Kremlin, Mabetex was commissioned to renovate the White House in Moscow, the official home of the Russian government. Several floors of the building had been severely damaged in October 1993. Mabetex was asked to carry out an extremely urgent intervention to completely restore both the exterior and interior of the building. This also includes the interior decoration and complete furnishing of the more than 2,500 offices.

Italy

In Italy, the Mabetex Group was responsible in the study and project for the refurbishment of the La Fenice theatre in Venice after it was burned.

Uzbekistan

In Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, the group constructed the award-winning project for the City Hall.

Mongolia

In 2018 Mabetex started new construction projects in the Mongolian capital Ulam Batur and its surroundings, the luxurious “Turtle Rock Resort” as well as exclusive residences and a Boutique Hotel.
