List of international cricket centuries by Geoffrey Boycott

Geoffrey Boycott is a former English cricketer. A right-handed batsman,[1] he played for England between 1964 and 1982, including captaining them for 4 Tests and 2 ODIs between 1977 and 1978,[2][3] and made 23 centuries in international cricket, 22 in Tests and 1 in One Day Internationals. As of March 2019 he sits joint fifty-sixth in the list of century-makers in international cricket.[lower-alpha 1][4]

Geoffrey Boycott has scored 23 centuries in Test cricket and One Day Internationals.

Boycott made his Test debut against Australia at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on 4 June 1964.[5] He scored his first Test century, also against Australia, in the final match of the same series at The Oval, London on 13 August 1964, scoring 113.[6] He scored his final Test century against India at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi on 23 December 1981,[7] scoring 105. His final Test match was the following game of the same series at Eden Gardens, Calcutta (now Kolkata) on 1 January 1982,[8] having played 108 matches, and also held the record for the most runs in Test cricket at the time, with 8,114 runs.[9] His highest score in Tests is 246 not out, scored against India at Headingley, Leeds on 8 June 1967.[10]

Boycott made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Australia in the inaugural One Day International at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne on 5 January 1971[11] and played his final ODI against India at the Gandhi Stadium, Jalandhar on 20 December 1981,[12] having played 36 matches. His only century in the format came against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney on 11 December 1979.[13]
