Brittingham Family PlotJeremiah Brittingham came to Vermilion County in 1830 from Ohio and died in the winter of 1831; due to the extreme cold, he could not be buried immediately. An Indian chief died shortly thereafter and his people asked that he be buried with Jeremiah.
