Leslie Malerich

Leslie Malerich (born 29 February 1980) is an Italian-American, former collegiate All-American, 2004 Olympian, right-handed hitting softball pitcher and coach originally from Merrillville, Indiana. She attended and played for the Florida State Seminoles 1999-02 and is the school innings pitched career leader in the Atlantic Coast Conference, where she was named the 2001 Player of The Year.[1][2] She also competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics.[3]

Malerich was named a three-time All-Conference 2000-02. She was named Player of The Year in 2001 and earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association Third Team All-American.[4] Malerich led the Seminoles to the 2002 Women's College World Series and pitched her last game on May 26, 2002, tossing 5 innings with 5 strikeouts in a loss to the Arizona Wildcats.[5][6]
