Law schools in France

Law schools in France may refer to three distinct institutions:

• A faculty of law at a French university, called Faculté de droit (Faculty of Law) or Université de droit (University of Law). For a list of these, see the List of faculties of law in France.
• A law school affiliated with an existing French law faculty, mostly called Collège de droit but sometimes École de droit or Académie de droit'. These are rather exclusive institutions which have been erected and are managed by existing law faculties to provide additional tutoring to their top students, on top of their coursework at the law faculty.
• A school not affiliated with a French law faculty but delivering courses in law as or inside a private or semi-private institution, with many designations, including École de droit and École en droit.
