Kevin Chelimo

Kevin Chelimo (born 14 February 1983) is a Kenyan long- and middle-distance runner.

Prep and College

Chelimo graduated from Tenges high school. Chelimo graduated from Tambach Teachers Training College and Texas Tech in 2006. Kevin finished 17th 2006 NCAA Division 1 cross country running championships,[2] and 10th in 2007 NCAA Division 1 10,000 metres.[3] Chelimo competed in national 3000 metres.[4]

Coach

Texas Tech cross country All-American Kevin Chelimo,[5][6][7] a volunteer assistant coach[8] for Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2006 - 2008.

Personal

Kevin Chelimo married Sally Kipyego in 2008 summer.[9][10]

Chelimo ran 2012 Payton Jordan Invitational in 13:14.57.[13][14]

Chelimo competed in the 10,000 meters at the 2012 Kenyan Olympic Trials.
