Karthick Ashokan

Karthick Ashokan (born 29 May 1986) is an Indian Film actor who works in Tamil film industry. He was well known for his role in Bala (director)'s Paradesi (2013 film).

Personal life

Karthick Ashokan was born in Madurai and brought up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He holds bachelor's degree in Visual Communication from Madras Christian College, Chennai.

Career

He started his career as a dancer, learning various dance styles. He entered the reality show Maanada Mayilada on Kalaignar TV in the year 2008 followed by the years 2009 and 2015 where he was the 1st runner up. He participated and won the Guinness World Records for the largest Ames room illusion in Maanada Mayilada Season 10. Karthick made his debut in naan sivanagiren movie, playing the lead role in the year 2011. His second movie was a big flick, to play the supporting role named Thangarasu in the period drama film Paradesi (2013 film) written and directed by Bala (director) starring Atharva, vedhika, Riythvika and Sai Dhanshika. Various critics praised his performance in the movie.

He also played the lead role in romantic comedy film named ivalunga imsai thaanga mudiyala starring opposite Sahana and RJ Sivakanth directed by debutant director V.N.Rajasubramaniyam produced by shakthivel director of the movies Kandhakottai and ego. The teaser was released in July, 2017. Music done by Malaysian music artist Kash Villanz, is under Post-production.

A web-series named Honeymoon, a thriller, is under post-production where he has done the lead and produced it under his own production house Karthick Ashokan Magic Lantern Productions as one of the producers.
