Joseph M. Young
Joseph M. Young is an American diplomat who became Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy Tokyo on July 20, 2019 after the resignation of Bill Hagerty. Young is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service who served as Deputy Chief of Mission at Embassy Tokyo from 2017 to 2019.[1][2]

Education
Young earned a Master of Science in Foreign Service from the School of Foreign Service and a bachelor's degree in Classics from Borromeo College.[1]
