John Parton Gabriel (1911-1941) was a male athlete who competed for England.

Athletics career

He competed in the 120 Yard Hurdles at the 1934 British Empire Games in London.

Personal life

He served as Intelligence Officer in France and spoke fluent German, French and good Russian. Her served as a Captain in the Royal Berkshire Regiment before being transferred to Special Operations Executive andspecial reconnaissance duty with. He died after the Jonathan Holt British Steam merchant ship was sunk bu a U-boat en route from Liverpool to Takoradi.[1]
