Jo Martin

Jo Martin is a British actress. She played Natalie Crouch in the BBC One sitcom The Crouches, which aired between 2003 and 2005.[1] She joined the cast of Holby City in 2019 and in a recuring role in sister programme Casualty in August 2020, as CEO and neurosurgeon Max McGerry.[2] Martin portrayed an unknown incarnation of the Doctor in the BBC TV series Doctor Who in 2020’s Series 12.[3]

Early life

She was born in London to a Jamaican mother, who died in 2015.

Doctor Who

Martin first appeared in series 12 episode "Fugitive of the Judoon", playing Ruth Clayton, a tourist guide who is later revealed to be an incarnation of the Doctor.[4][5] She reprised her role in the series finale, "The Timeless Children".[6]
