Jaboka

Jaboka (Urdu: جبوكہ‎), is a town and union council(NO.9) of Okara District in the Punjab province of Pakistan.[1] It is located at 30°57'38N 73°27'10E with an altitude of 161 metres (531 feet),[2] and is one of the larger towns of Okara district. Jaboka is a commercial and educational hub for more than 20 villages around it. It has markets of garments clothes, cosmetics,jewelry and shoes market

People living in the village's location 70 to 80 years previously were called Jaboka, from which the village took its name. It has two ancient buildings, which were constructed in the early 20th century. It has population of about 60,000.

There are different castes in the village: the majority of the population of Jaboka are Raos, Ranas, Arain, Wattos and Kharals.

There are four government schools in Jaboka, two for boys and two for girls. There is also a Baharia Foundation College (BFC), found on 15 April 2013, and a private school affiliated with the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), Shaheen-e-Millat Model Secondary School, established in 1994.
