Industrias Eduardo Sal-Lari
Industrias Eduardo Sal-Lari was an Argentine automobile manufacturing company that carried out its activities during the 1980s. It manufactured low-cost automobiles derived from models of the Citroën brand.

History
The French automobile manufacturer Citroën decided to withdraw from the Argentine market around 1980 and sold the share package of its local subsidiary (Citroën Argentina SA) to engineer Eduardo Sal Lari. [1] Sal Lari had important commercial links with Citroën Argentina as he owned the firm 'Daher Boge' that manufactured and supplied automobile shock absorbers to the French firm.
For a time, the firm (still called Citroën Argentina ), continued to produce Citroën brand cars with the batch of auto parts that Sal Lari had received when buying the stock package. Also during this period French units were purchased for commercialization in Argentina.
Economic crisis and bankruptcy
The economic crisis unleashed in the Argentine Republic in February 1990 led Industrias Eduardo Sal-Lari to a very difficult financial situation that led to the bankruptcy of the company. The fall coincided with the presentation of the 'Gringo' model
At that time, the "El Latinoamericano" project was also being carried out, which consisted in the development of a low-cost vehicle, equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, the parts of which were produced in different Latin American countries and which was assembled in all of them and in this way achieve to expand the borders for the cars "IES".
